Pennsbury Townatch Inc.
was formed as a non-profit corporation, which is a non-partisan,
non-governmental, civic action group dedicated to helping maintain the
safety and peace of the community. It is not a part of Pennsbury Township
nor any agency thereof.
The primary purpose of Townwatch
is to render assistance to residents and property owners in Pennsbury
Township, Chester County, PA, as well as to the PA State Police, in a
volunteer community patrol service. Patrollers provide law enforcement
agencies and other authorities with information pertinent to crime
detection, and prevention as defined in the Pennsbury Townwatch
patrol rules.
Townwatch will endeavor to promote safety and security of both
Pennsbury neighborhoods, and individual residents through such methods as:
 | Educating Citizens to be alert to questionable or unusual activity
practices in their neighborhood, and to report these to the proper law
enforcement authorities. |
 | Providing suggestions directed toward enhanced home security through
both improved security practices, and enhanced community and
neighbor-with-neighbor cooperation. |
 | Undertaking Outreach efforts directed toward promoting resident
personal safety through cooperative efforts and funding support, where
appropriate, with Township personnel and organizations, and in support
of organized police, safety, fire, and emergency activities. |
